To name existing in Russia property relations and organizational forms the economic system (though and eclectic) it is possible only de bene esse. The important feature of the system — its relative stability absents. In fact in economic life of Russia all is afoot, has transitional character. This transition, to all appearances, stretches on decades, and from this point of view a transitional (from an administrative-command to the modern market) economy can be adopted the system.

In behalf on a term the "transitional system", or "economy of transitional period", talks and that this system has quite a bit models already (east Europe, Baltic, central Asiatic). In original forms the transitional system exists in PEOPLES Republic of China and Vietnam. The prospects of forming of high-efficiency mechanism of economic management in our country are related to mastering and use all that positive, that was produced by domestic and world practice in this area.

Final choice of concrete model of the transitional system and the more so in Russia it will the model of modern market economy be in final analysis determined correlation of political forces in a country, by character of the conducted transformations, scales and efficiency of support of reforms an international association, and also by historical traditions.

Y. Tyunen puts a question: what forms will be accepted at the set pre-conditions by agriculture, and what influence on his placing will render distance from a city?Finds an answer for the put question by the method of comparison of transport expenses on transportation of products from the place of production to the market, areas, most favorable (from point of minimization of transport expenses) for placing in their limits of one or another types of agricultural production, come to light as a result.

Y. Tyunen proves that within the framework of the done assumptions an optimum chart of placing of agricultural production is the system of concentric circles (belts) of different diameter round a central city, dividing the areas of placing of different types of agricultural activity. What higher the productivity (productivity), the nearer a production must take place to the city. At the same time than dearer one or another product on unit of weight, the farther from a city his placing is expedient. As a result intensity of menage goes down as far as a delete from a city.

Y. Tyunen selects six belts (rings) of placing of agricultural activity, based on the terms of menage in the estate in Meklenburge. Clear, that at other terms concrete composition of belts will be other, but principle of their alternation will be saved. Finding of distance, separating the areas of placing of one or another types of agricultural activity from the center of sale, is carried out on simple formulas. At the same time Y. Tyunen grounded the substantive provisions of theory of land rent on a location. A certain product is for sale at the same price regardless of place of the production. Land rent is equal to the size of economy on transport costs in economies, located relatively nearer to the center. It is maximal in the first rings and falls as far as the delete of lot land from a center. In the most remote ring, where agriculture is yet conducted, the size of rent is equal to the zero. A minimum of transport expenses on delivery an agricultural produce corresponds a maximum of land rent.

Presumably, Y. Tyunen did not know the theory of rent on the site of Rikardo. Nevertheless, beginning the analysis with on principle other parcels, he comes to those conclusions, that Rikardo.

Work of Y. Tyunena was the first and by the very model example of the use of abstract mathematical models in the theory of spatial economy. Its important methodical value is acknowledged in new economic science.
